Single Boreas Motor Test
A test to benchmark a single motor with Boreas modifications and the propeller chosen from the static thrust test.
Thrust and power data can be gathered from the motor with Boreas modifications. This could be compared to the static thrust test without modifications in order to determine the effectiveness of Boreas.
The motor with Boreas modifications will be set up in the static thrust test bed. The motor will be set to different throttle levels. The power draw and thrust levels will be logged.
This test was ultimately a failure due to high noise levels and very little thrust being produced. This may have been caused due to incorrect tolerances in the Boreas system creating friction. This part will be redesigned and tested again in January.
